President

Karen Condi

Karen Condi, the visionary founder of Workspace Strategies in 2006, brings nearly two decades of shared workspace/coworking industry experience to the table. With a deep understanding of the industry’s best practices, she has meticulously built a top-notch team capable of executing unparalleled start-up, sales, marketing, finance, technology, and operational activities, all geared towards maximizing revenues and driving profits for Workspace Strategies clients.

Karen’s expertise and leadership have made her a sought-after thought leader and resource in the industry. She is regularly invited to speak at esteemed events and conferences hosted by The Global Workspace Association (GWA), The Alliance Business Center Network (ABCN), Global Coworking Unconference (GCUC), and the Workspace Association of New York (WANY).

Under her guidance, Workspace Strategies specializes in start-up ventures, turnkey development, management takeovers, and turnaround projects across North America. The team has successfully opened, acquired, developed, consulted on, and managed a multitude of shared workspace/coworking properties throughout the United States, cementing their reputation as industry leaders.

For Karen, building strong relationships is the cornerstone of a thriving business, and she takes pride in the long list of “raving fans” she has cultivated over the years. Prior to founding Workspace Strategies, she held key roles such as Regional Manager and Corporate Sales and Training Director for a nationally recognized shared workspace/coworking company.

Karen holds a degree in Finance and Business Management from Eastern Kentucky University and possesses a KY Commercial Real Estate License. Her educational background and industry expertise further enhance her ability to drive the success of Workspace Strategies and deliver exceptional results for our clients.

VP of Sales and Development

Ja-Ann Peterson

Ja Ann Peterson joined Workspace Strategies in 2013 to oversee the daily sales and operations in one of our managed locations.  With 15 prior years of experience in the Asset Management industry, Peterson gained a vast degree of experience in management, sales, training, and development, making for an easy transition to the shared workspace industry. Within a short period of taking on this role, she was able to exceed sales projections, while decreasing expenses which contributed to a significant improvement in her center’s bottom line.

She also managed to improve staff and member morale at the same time. This location quickly became our highest profitable managed location.  In 2016, she was promoted from General Manager of one location to VP of Sales and Development overall managed locations.  Today, we are experiencing above 95% occupancy with strong profits in all of our managed locations due to Ja Ann’s keen ability to manage and execute.

With an “always say yes” attitude, Peterson is constantly evolving her processes, and developing new ways to take care of the individual needs of each member while staying focused on the bottom line. Her infectious personality, attention to detail and creative insight makes her a natural for this ever-changing competitive industry.

Peterson graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Advertising.

Systems Support Manager

Mary Ann Walthers

With 20 years of experience in the shared workspace industry, Mary Ann Walthers has managed the operational systems and complete technology migration for multiple locations with the highest degree of expertise.  She has been the project manager for various different VoIP platform installations over dozens of markets. Prior to joining Workspace Strategies, Walthers oversaw all operational and technology systems for Rockefeller Group Business Centers. She was the first person in the industry to set up a dedicated call center catered to the shared workspace industry. Here, she was responsible for hiring and setting up all the technology, along with managing the call center which made her the perfect fit for our industry-specific call center, PROS.

With Walthers’ proven management skills and keen attention to detail, Workspace Strategies is able to execute flawlessly on all technology and systems support tasks for the centers we manage as well as provide consulting support for many others.

Walthers graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Business Management.

Director of Operations

Jason Tiemeier

With over 15 years of experience in the shared workspace industry, Jason Tiemeier has been responsible for sales, marketing, and management of multiple locations across several markets for three nationally recognized shared workspace providers. Tiemeier joined Workspace Strategies in 2017 to take on the responsibility of managing all aspects of marketing for the Company.

In 2020, Tiemeier was promoted to Director of Operations. Tiemeier focuses on the overall growth and management of the company’s employee recruiting and retention program.  His positive attitude and willingness to go to any length to execute, have made Tiemeier a great fit for Workspace Strategies.

Tiemeier graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Integrated Strategic Communication.

Accounting Assistant

Sandi Anderson

Sandi Anderson serves as the Accounting Assistant at Workspace Strategies. With over 20 years in the shared workspace industry, she brings a diverse toolkit to the team including skills such as training and customer relationship management.

During her time in the industry, she has been involved with the opening, training, and operations of more than 80 shared workspace locations nationwide. Anderson previously served as operations coordinator for a national serviced office provider which had been acquired by an industry leader.

Anderson’s industry knowledge, attention to detail, and eager-to-help attitude make her a valuable asset to not only our team in Accounting but also to the Workspace Strategies team as a whole.

Office Manger

Nikki Browning

In 2022, Nikki Browning became an integral part of our team, assuming the role of Office Manager and bringing her invaluable expertise and skills. With her extensive knowledge and experience, Nikki immediately made a positive impact on our operations. Her dedication and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in driving our success. As the Office Manager, Nikki’s contributions have been invaluable, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Her expertise and passion make her an integral part of our team at Workspace Strategies.

Nikki’s vibrant personality and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction make her an invaluable asset to Workspace Strategies. As the Office Manager, she takes the coworking experience to new heights, embodying the dynamic spirit that propels our success. Marketing Coordinator

Baylee Lanter

Baylee Lanter brings a dynamic energy to her role as the Marketing Coordinator at Workspace Strategies. While playing on the soccer team at Eastern Kentucky University, she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2022, followed by her master’s degree from the MBA program in 2023. Baylee’s background as a student-athlete has equipped her with the knowledge and experience needed to excel as a team player and thrive under pressure, showcasing her remarkable leadership abilities.

With over six years of prior experience in the restaurant industry, she has honed her problem-solving, hospitality, and communication skills to perfection. This diverse background makes her a valuable asset to our marketing department, bringing a unique perspective and a wealth of practical expertise. With her dynamic skill set and unwavering dedication, Baylee makes a significant impact in driving the success of our marketing efforts at Workspace Strategies.

Kelley Massey

Kelly Massey, Accounting Specialist at Workspace Strategies, bringing over 30 years of experience in the accounting field. Her extensive career has encompassed a wide range of roles, including billing specialist, office manager, as well as a variety of positions that have equipped her with a deep and versatile understanding of financial and administrative operations.

Throughout her three-decade tenure in the medical sector, Kelly has developed a robust skill set in billing processes, accounts payable, financial management, and office administration. Most recently, she dedicated five years to managing accounts payable for a hospice organization, where she demonstrated exceptional proficiency in handling complex financial transactions with accuracy and sensitivity. Her ability to navigate the intricacies of medical billing and financial operations has consistently contributed to the efficiency and reliability of the organizations she has been part of.

Kelly’s diverse background also includes significant experience in office management, where she honed her organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to streamline processes to enhance operational effectiveness. Her comprehensive knowledge of financial systems and her proactive approach to problem-solving make her an invaluable asset to the Workspace Strategies accounting team.

Beyond her professional expertise, Kelly is passionate about outdoor activities. She enjoys camping, boating, and thrifting, hobbies that reflect her adventurous spirit and her appreciation for nature and sustainability. These interests not only provide her with a well-rounded personal life but also contribute to her ability to bring a balanced and positive perspective to her work environment.

Operations Intern

Alli Condi

Alli Condi, a driven and organized individual pursuing a double major in Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the University of Mississippi, serves as the Operations Intern for our corporate team.  With her exceptional organizational skills and strong work ethic, Alli brings invaluable leadership qualities to our team.

Through her internship, Alli is gaining practical experience and a deeper understanding of the business world. Her dedication and hard work ensure that she is a valuable asset, contributing to the success of our organization. We are confident that Alli’s bright future and passion for marketing and entrepreneurship will lead her to achieve remarkable accomplishments in her academic and professional journey.

Nicole Keen

Nicole Keen serves as Team Lead for our Professional Receptionist Outsourcing Service (PROS). She started at Workspace Strategies in July of 2021 and was promoted later that year to Team Lead. She has four years of customer service and phone answering experience. Born and raised in Virginia, Keen has a bachelor’s degree from Mary Baldwin University and is working on obtaining her master’s from Southern New Hampshire University.

Keen’s attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate with her team and customers are what make Keen both a wonderful receptionist and leader. She loves having the ability to meet and talk with people across the country which stems from her passion to explore and learn new things.

Miasha Madison

Miasha Madison is a part of the Professional Receptionist Outsourcing Services (PROS) department. She began working for Workspace Strategies in October of 2021. She previously attended Kentucky State and is now working on a bachelor’s degree from BCTC. Madison has accumulated 7 years of customer service as well as 5 years of phone answering service.

With her superb communication skills and professionalism, she is a wonderful resource to monitor incoming calls. Madison loves working for our PROS department because it gives her the ability to meet new people and learn new things that can be used in everyday life. She loves the family environment here at Workspace Strategies and is proud to be a part of our growing team.

Kassiah Israel

Kassiah Israel serves as a part of the Professional Receptionist Outsourcing Services (PROS) department. She is a skilled professional with six years of administrative and call center experience. Joining the Workspace Strategies team in February of 2024, Kassiah brings expertise in problem-solving, patience, and communication.

Born in Florence, Kentucky, and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kassiah holds a degree in Communications from Berea College. Kassiah loves working for our PROS department because she thrives on the variety of tasks and the dynamic work environment, contributing to the team’s success with enthusiasm and dedication.
